Nick has been a professional outdoor educator and mountain guide since 2010, building a diverse career that spans heli-ski guiding in Canada, big wall climbing in Yosemite, and countless adventures in between. His passion for the mountains began early, with notable descents of Mount Sopris’s Crystal Chute and the South Teton at just 18 years old, along with a third-place finish in the Taos Big Mountain Battle.
In his early twenties, Nick pursued deep powder and steep ski descents throughout North America and the legendary terrain of Chamonix, France. Over the past decade, his focus has shifted primarily toward climbing, where he has developed extensive big wall experience. Among his standout achievements is completing the Yosemite Double—climbing both El Capitan and Half Dome in a single day—including an impressive six-hour ascent of The Nose on El Capitan.
Nick is also an accomplished free climber, with sport and trad flashes up to 5.13a and redpoints up to 5.13c. In recent years, his greatest passion has been first ascents and route development. He has established more than 100 new routes in the Indian Creek area and pioneered several multi-pitch climbs in the Yosemite region, including High Gravity (Grade III, 5.11d) on the Third Pillar of Dana and Free Your Mind (Grade III, 5.12+) in Yosemite Valley.
Whether guiding, teaching, or exploring new terrain, Nick brings decades of experience, technical expertise, and a lifelong passion for mountain adventure.
