intro to ice climbing

Intro to Ice Overview

You’ve always wondered what it’s like to climb and an ice-covered cliff face...well this is your chance! This full day class introduces new fans to the world of vertical ice, with experienced guides to help you get comfortable in this fascinating environment.

Feel your confidence grow throughout the day while you discuss and observe changing conditions in real time with your guide. This course takes place at locations along Colorado’s Front Range so you don’t have to eat up half the day driving clear across the state.

We strongly recommend participants have prior experience in rock climbing, as some techniques cross over to both disciplines. Those brand new to climbing in general will spend an additional day rock climbing to learn the essentials needed for the ice.
