You are ready. With a foundation of solid skills on rock and ice, it’s time to test your mettle with mixed climbing, a challenging scenario of climbing routes made of sections of rock and ice. This two-day course conducted by expert, AMGA trained guides who will sharpen your skills for future adventure. The first day practices the fundamentals and day two sends you up the ice.


Course Details

What to Bring:
  • We will provide you with an equipment list once you sign up

Skills you will learn:


  • Intro to Ice climbing or comparable course

  • Intermediate ice climbing or comparable course

  • Have climbed outside of the given courses

  • It would be good to have the lead ice course prior to this course, but unless you want to lead the mixed routes, not a requirement

  • Group climbing gear

  • Ice climbing protection, slings

  • Ropes

  • Crampons specific to water ice climbing

  • Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe (if needed)

Price Excludes:
  • Food

  • Transportation

  • Clothing, backpack and any personal items

  • Any type of insurance pertaining to a high risk sport

  • Gratuity if you decide your guide did a great job

Meeting Location:

This will be provided before the class, it changes with ice conditions and venue chosen for the day
